What Happened with the Email Results Feature?

Unfortunately, Flippity is a victim of its own success.

The number of emails being sent from Flippity greatly exceeds the limits set by the web hosting company. Additionally an algorithm repeatedly flags Flippity as a spammer because it can't understand the email messages it it sees. Because of that it has become impossible to keep the email results feature up and running.

I have worked for months to find the right combination of web host and third-party email delivery service to fix the situation but the level of skill required to program everything is currently beyond my capability. Therefore I have made the difficult decision to remove the email results feature from Flippity activities. I would prefer to provide a good, reliable service to one that is inconsistent and undependable.

I'm very sorry for the loss of this important feature. I will keep working on email results in the hopes of restoring them to Flippity but it is unlikely to happen during the 2024-2025 school year.
